In non sporting related items, many inspirational figures Mandela, Churchill, basically anyone who acted in difficult or adverse situations. I have a few sporting heroes and could go on for as while but these are the main ones; BOD/Keith Wood (Rugby), Ben Ainslie (Sailing), Bergkamp (Football);Michael Johnson (Athletics)

What can most people do, that you cannot?

Any remote talent to dance, sing or anything artistic, but I do attempt with enthusiasm!

 

You have the choice to live with a gorilla who knows sign language or a dog who sings lullabies, which do you choose?

Gorilla hands down. I would need someone to communicate with otherwise I would go mad.

 

If you could only play one sport for the rest of your life, it would be:

Golf (not that I can play!), potentially just edging it from Squash and Tennis due to the potential to play to a reasonable standard for the longest period of time.

 

Most embarrassing situation suitable for publication online:

I’m incredibly clumsy but I think the one that probably wins was falling over in a 200m race while I was about 14, which I’m sure a few of the other members will remember with fondness as it was in front of a rather large grandstand (I was even winning at the time!)

Our 1st XV season was pretty good, as was the record on tour in South Africa
